Professional Standard Ten

 Reflection:

I understand this standard to mean that as a teacher I am responsible for my own professional development. I need to take ownership and commit to ongoing self-assessment and education to further my ability as a teacher and leader.

Strengths / Weaknesses:

I am naturally a very self reflective person. My belief is “that which does not grow, dies”. As such I have a high personal commitment to be the very best I can and this comes from ongoing education and self reflection.

Artifacts:

-       Taking advantage of professional development days, meeting with other professional staff and asking for help, participating in external activities with students and general quest for more knowledge.

-       Letters from colleagues

-       Complete regular narrative inquiry.
